Please take a couple minutes and visit Stephanie’s site and do whatever is within your power to help. Whether that’s a donation, purchasing a StephsGonnaWin bracelet, or just an encouraging email, it all helps.

Learn to Light Workshop
Posted in Archived, Portraits on October 4, 2009 by jmcelvoyI recently attended a 2 day Lighting Workshop in St Louis put on by Don Giannatti. The workshop was geared toward lighting, but Don covers much more than just light in this workshop. Don goes in depth on several fundamental elements of photography and shares a ton of tips-n-tricks to improve your workflow during your shoots. I’ve attended several photography classes, but this was by far the most information I got in such a short period of time. Here are a few images I took during the workshop:

Recent Sessions
Posted in Home, Portraits on September 1, 2009 by jmcelvoyHere is another session I did with Christie a couple weeks back. This time she brought a friend, Tyler. These guys were great to work with and made the session a lot of fun.

Here’s a little sneak peek of what I’ve been up to.
This is Christie Gangwes. I met her at a local camera club get-together when she volunteered to model for us. I liked her look and asked if she would be interested in modeling for me again…without the camera club members. She agreed and we met up with 2 fellow photog’s(Matt DeWitt & Eliesha Schick) and another model(Nikki Pitt) at a downtown parking garage. It was a great evening and we got some pretty good images. Here’s a few of my favorites:
Friday Night Lights – Part 1
Posted in High School Athletics, Home on August 30, 2009 by jmcelvoyI’ve wanted to try my hand in some local high school athletic photography…so this past Friday I attended the Republic Tigers vs Nixa Eagles football game. My neighbor(Scot Phillips) is a coach for the Republic team, so I figured I would do one of his games for starters. Here are a couple photos from the game.
